The Music in the Park series will present its first concert of the season Sunday, July 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Woolen Mill Park on Main Street, featuring Bay Winds North.

Directed by Marlene Hall, the Bay Winds North Wind Ensemble is comprised of musicians high school age to retirees from the Midcoast. Now in its eighth year, the ensemble performs concerts throughout the year and participates in several parades during the summer months. For the past two years, Bay Winds North has won first place in the band category of the Lobster Festival Parade in Rockland.

Concertgoers are encouraged to come early and have lunch at the Saint George River Café. For the concert, bring lawn seating, chairs or a blanket. There will be a Porta-Potty on site.
