Dark Follies, an award-winning vaudeville-style variety troupe, will perform Thursday, July 13, at 7 p.m. in the Camden Amphitheatre, Atlantic Avenue adjacent to the library.

Born of a love of street theater and variety show performance, Dark Follies began bringing its special brand of street vaudeville to life in the dark hours of Portland’s summer First Friday Art Walk nights in 2008. Family friendly while still keeping an edge, Dark Follies features the live music of the Dark Follies (not just) Rhythm Orchestra, dancing, juggling, storytelling, side show acts, flow artists, fire performers and more. Now entering its ninth year, Dark Follies continues to surprise, entertain and delight audiences.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. There is no admission charge. For more information about the troupe, visit darkfollies.comThe show is part of the Camden Public Library Movies & Music series, sponsored by Camden National Bank with additional support by Mid-Coast Limo. There are three Thursday night concerts slated for August.
