Midcoast authors Glen Libby and Antonia Small will discuss their Maine Literary Award-winning book “Caught” Thursday, June 29, at 7 p.m. in the Penobscot Marine Museum’s Visitors Center, 2 Church St. The talk is free and open to the public. Copies of “Caught” will be available for purchase.
Libby, owner of Port Clyde Fresh Catch, has spent more than 40 years in the commercial fishing industry. Small is a fine art and documentary photographer who has spent many years photographing the fishing industry. Libby and Small worked together to produce this look into the ever-changing fishing industry, with a focus on the community of Port Clyde, Maine.
For the 2017 season, Penobscot Marine Museum exhibits and programs take a look at Maine’s commercial fisheries. The exhibits “Gone Fishing!” and “The Net Result: Our Evolving Fisheries” run through Oct. 15 at the downtown museum.
