Local students named to Thomas College dean’s list

WATERVILLE — Local students named to the dean's list at Thomas College for the spring term are: John Gallagher of Camden, Annie Young of Lincolnville and Jenna Wells of Rockport.

Local Colby graduates, dean's list

Class of 2017 Graduates from Colby College

WATERVILLE — Area residents were part of the 478 seniors who graduated from Colby College May 21, receiving a bachelor of arts degree at the college's 196th Commencement. Former Vice President Joe Biden was the guest speaker.

Locals to graduate were:

Larkin J. Domench, who majored in global studies and government, attended Kent School and is the child of Daniel Domench of Union and Marsha Domench of Camden.

Rebecca G. Gray, who majored in biology, attended Camden Hills Regional High School and is the child of Thomas and Andrea Gray of Rockport.

Calvin C. Robbins, who majored in biology with a concentration in cell and molecular biology/biochemistry, attended Camden Hills Regional High School and is the child of Bradford and Kelly Robbins of Waldoboro.

Named to the dean's list at Colby for the spring semester is Jonah Carter, of Camden, a history major and member of the class of 2018. Carter attended Camden Hills Regional High School and is the child of Judith Haines-Carter of Camden.

Merrill earns degree from the University of Vermont

BURLINGTON, VT. — Frances Merrill of Camden graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Latin during commencement ceremonies on May 21, at the University of Vermont.

Walbridge graduates from University of Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, ALA. — Abigail Walbridge of Lincolnville was awarded a bachelor of arts degree the following from The University of Alabama during ceremonies May 5-7.

Pitcairn makes the grade at Roger Williams

BRISTOL, RI — Joshua Pitcairn of Lincolnville has been named to the spring 2017 dean's list at Roger Williams University . Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the dean's list that semester.

Boston University graduates Rockport resident

BOSTON — Boston University awarded academic degrees to 6,045 students in May 2017. Among the graduates was Christine C. Forcillo, who received a bachelor of arts in biology.

Husson University announces spring 2017 dean's, honors list

BANGOR — Husson University is pleased to share its spring 2017 dean's and honors list. Students who earn dean's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.60 to 3.79 during the period. To be named to the honors list, students must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.4 to 3.59 during the period.

Dean's list: Keeli Wood of Lincolnville is a sophomore who is currently enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology-Human Movement Science/Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Honors list: Megan LeGage of Lincolnville is a senior who is currently enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Area student named to the St. Olaf College dean's list

NORTHFIELD, MINN. — Abigail White, a Russian major, and graduate of Camden Hils Regional High School has been named to the St. Olaf College dean's list for the spring 2017 semester. White is the child of Hugh and Suzanne White of Camden.

The dean's list recognizes students with a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4-point scale.
