The 24th North Atlantic Blues Festival is just weeks away, ready to fill Harbor Park Saturday and Sunday, July 15 and 16. Advance festival tickets, available until Monday, July 10, are $30 for either day or $55 for the full weekend; they will be $40 and $75 at the gate during festival weekend.

Also available, at the gate only, is a $5 ticket for young blues fans age 6 to 12. And young blues fans will be first on the main stage each day, as local Midcoast Music Academy’s blues campers will show what they’ve learned starting 10:30 a.m.

This year’s lineup features guitar great Walter Trout, who is back to health and ready to shred. Also slated for this year are Kenny Neal, Shemekia Copeland, Dwayne Dopsie & The Zydeco Hellraisers, Anthony Gomes, Biscuit Miller and The Mix, Kelley Hunt, Sari Schorr and, for blues harp fans, Harmonicon featuring Sugar Blue, Billy Branch and Jason Ricci. L.C. Williams and the Driver will play between sets.

Bracelets for Saturday or the full weekend allow free admission to the participating NABF Club Crawl venues Saturday night; there also will be Maine bands playing on Main Street, which will be closed to vehicles. Other weekend treats supporting the fest are blues brunches Sunday morning; and two post-festival jams Sunday night. And while not officially part of the festival, many downtown clubs have live, Maine-made blues Friday night, July 14.
