Tickets are now on sale for Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals and The Outlaws performances at the 2017 Maine Lobster Festival. The Rascals will play Friday night, Aug. 4; and The Outlaws will play Saturday, Aug. 5, on the Fishermen’s Memorial stage.

When “Good Lovin’” was a huge No. 1 hit for The Young Rascals, lead singer/keyboardist Felix Cavaliere could not have known that 50 years later the song would be an anthem of three generations and dance-floor favorite.  When they followed up with “Groovin’ on a Sunday Afternoon” and “Beautiful Morning,” they remained just hard-working New York-area musicians. And when The Outlaws started out 40 years ago, little did they know that they would be considered among the founding fathers of Southern Rock.

Both bands are still going strong and will headline the 70th annual Maine Lobster Festival. Tickets for seating in the reserved section directly in front of the stage are $25, available at and at the Chamber of Commerce offices in Camden and Rockland.

“This year’s festival will celebrate 70 years as the premier summer event in Midcoast Maine, but it will also salute the future of our maritime heritage and our part in it,” said Festival President Cynthia Powell.

The Maine Lobster Festival runs Aug. 2 through 6 at Harbor Park.
