Rock City Café, 316 Main St., will present local and touring singer/songwriters Friday and Saturday nights, June 23 and 24. The music will run from 7 to 9 p.m.

Rockland singer/songwriter Tom Albury will perform his locally inspired originals, along with covers of R&B, folk and progressive rock, Friday night. He plays from this to that and even some of the other in a style that brings it all together.

On Saturday, Rock City welcomes back Sorcha Cribben-Merrill, who tours nationally solo and as a duo; and regionally with her band Sorcha & The Clearing. She is equally at home performing on an acoustic stage, at a roots festival, on a sailboat or in a rock club.

Cribben-Merrill, selected as an Emerging Artist at the 2012 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, has shared the stage with Tab Benoit, Tom Rush and the late Bill Morrissey; and has performed at Caffe Lena, Club Passim, Stone Mountain Arts Center and the State Theater. Her music is steeped in folk, blues, jazz and soul; and ranges from haunting ballads to funk grooves.

Food is available until closing. For more information on these and other events happening at the coffeebar/cafe, call 594-4123 or find it on Facebook.
