The annual summer series of free, weekly lawn picnic concerts at the Rockport Masonic Center, 361 Main St., are back, taking place Wednesdays at 6 p.m. June 21 through Aug. 23.

The rain or shine evenings offer good old-fashioned fun and music, plus a picnic supper — although people are welcome to bring their own, as well. The Masons will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs; plates are $7 for one burger or two hot dogs with a side, chips and a drink.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. The events take place rain or shine, with activities moving inside in wet weather. The Masonic Center is just up from the Simonton Corner four-way stop signs. For more information, call Jeff Sukeforth at 691-2270.

Following are the ensembles scheduled for this summer (concerts are subject to change): June 21 and Aug. 9, Bay Winds North; June 28, Route 17 Ramblers; July 5 and Aug. 23, Miners Creek; July 12, Anah Highlanders Pipes & Drums; July 19 and Aug. 2, Belfast Bay Fiddlers; July 26 and Aug. 16, UkesROCK. Pass-the-hat donations for the performers are welcome.
