Thirty-three students from throughout Maine and beyond graduated from the Maine School of Science and Mathematics during commencement exercises May 27.

This year’s MSSM graduates included Midcoast residents Sadie Allen, Camden; Caleb Wallace, Northport; Parrish Garver, Owls Head; Emmanuel Tung, Thomaston; and Hui Kennedy, Waldoboro.

The keynote speaker was Dr. James Page, chancellor of the University of Maine System, who encouraged students to forge ahead with their education but always remember the spirit of public service. The student speaker was Rachel Pike of Jay.

Students received approximately $540,000 in scholarships, and will attend a variety of colleges in the fall.
