Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery is teaming up with Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery for a Father's Day celebration June 18 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sweetgrass Farm Winery and Distillery, 347 Carroll Road, producer of wines and spirits, including Back River Gin, is hosting Appleton Creamery, which features a wide selection of cheese, from its "Camdenbert" to its award-winning Chevre. A free concert on the lawn with Lauren Crosby singing songs from her new album, "Back River Beauties," will begin at 2 p.m. The public is invited to bring a lawn chair, relax, enjoy the music and the view.

Across town, Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery, 175 Barrett Hill Road, will be cooking up its own farm-raised beef and pork for a farm-To-table barbeque. It  will also play host to artisan cheesemakers, including State of Maine Cheese Co., Copper Tail Farm and ME Water Buffalo Co. which creates its cheeses from cow, goat and water buffalo milk. Fiore Artisan Olive Oils and Vinegar will be on hand with its products, as well as Stone Fox Farm Creamery with its homemade ice cream. The Maine Antique Tractor Club has been invited to display its antique treasures while guests enjoy Savage Oakes wine, local beer or one of Savage Oakes’ signature cocktails made from local ingredients.
