A Fan Favorite Movie, “Remember the Titans” (2000, USA), starts off the month Monday, June 12, at 7 p.m. The drama tells of forced high school integration in Alexandria, Va., in 1971. After leading his team to 15 winning seasons, white football coach Bill Yoast is demoted and replaced by African-American Herman Boone — tough, opinionated and as different from Yoast as could be. The two men overcome their differences and turn a group of hostile young men into champions in a rousing celebration of how a town torn apart by resentment, friction and mistrust comes together in triumphant harmony.

On Thursday, June 15, at 7 p.m., “La La Land” (2016, USA) is this month’s Recent Release Movie. Set in modern day Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams. It is rated PG-13.
