The Monday Night Blues series continues June 12 with a 7 to 10 p.m. concert by the Alexis P. Suter Band in the upstairs music room of Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Admission will be $15 at the door.

As attendees of last year’s North Atlantic Blues Festival experienced, Suter and her band are in high demand at roots and blues festivals all over the country. Fronted by vocal powerhouse Suter — who sings in a distinctive bass/baritone — the Alexis P. Suter Band has been the opening act for Bo Diddley, Dickey Bets, BB King, Coco Montoya, Etta James, Buddy Guy, Allen Touissaint, Emmylou Harris, Johnny Winter, Elvis Costello and for the 20-year reunion of the Muddy Waters Band. Blues Music Award nominee Suter also tours a more gospel-oriented act, Alexis P. Suter and The Ministers of Sound, which recently released its first album.

Next up in the weekly series are: June 19, Paul Deslauriers Band ($10); June 26, Frank Bang Band ($10); and July 3, Murray Kinsley & Wicked Grin ($10). Shows are subject to change. For more information, visit and click on the Time Out Blues link; call 596-6055; or email
