Dowd inducted into honor society

ITHACA, N.Y. — Margaret Dowd, an integrated marketing communications major at Ithaca College's Roy H. Park School of Communications and a Camden native, has been inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the honor society of the National Association of Communication.

Gass named to NHTI dean's list

CONCORD, NH — Ryan Gass of Camden has been named to the dean's list at NHTI, Concord's Community College, in recognition of his academic achievement during the spring 2017 term. In order to qualify for dean's list a student must be considered full time (registered for 12 credits or more) and have a term GPA of 3.3 or higher.

Ralston graduates from Champlain

BURLINGTON, VT. — William Ralston of Rockport graduated May 13 from Champlain College with a bachelor of science degree in communication.

A total of 516 undergraduates received their associate and bachelor's degrees during the ceremony.

Foote is a St. Lawrence University graduate

CANTON, N.Y. — William D. Foote of Rockport was one of more than 600 students who were awarded bachelor degrees from St. Lawrence University during Commencement ceremonies held on May 21 in Canton, N.Y.

Foote received the degree of bachelor of arts and majored in sociology. Foote attended Brewster Academy.

Three honorary degree recipients spoke during St. Lawrence University's Commencement, including Republican U.S. Senator from Maine Susan Collins '75, president of The Eisner Foundation Jane (Breckenridge) Eisner '64, and former St. Lawrence University professor and current President of Wagner College Richard Guarasci. Director Emerita of the Adirondack Museum Caroline Mastin Welsh P'07 also spoke and received the University's North Country citation.
