James H. Duff, Executive Director Emeritus of the Brandywine Conservancy and Brandywine River Museum, will present this month’s Shop Talk Saturday, Nov. 19, at 3 p.m. at the Old Professor’s Bookshop, 99 Main St.

Duff’s presentation is titled Conceptions of Andrew Wyeth from the Mistaken to the Absurd. The Brandywine River Museum of Art in Pennsylvania houses work by hundreds of artists and is known especially for its exhibitions and extensive holdings of work by the Wyeth family, including N.C., Andrew and James Wyeth. Duff oversaw development of this collection during 39 years as the museum’s first director. Admission is free. For more information, call 338-2006.
