Lincoln County Sheriff's Office has reported the following local incidents:

Nov. 1

Gwendolynn K. Wellman, 29, of Waldoboro, was arrested for violating condition of release at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office in Wiscasset by Transport Deputy James Read.

Nov. 3

An accident occurred on Goose Hill Road in Jefferson involving Matthew T. Clark, 44, of Waldoboro. Clark was operating his 2006 Hummer H3 westbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Deputy First Class Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.

An accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Naomi S. Johndrow, 46, of Waldoboro. Johndrow was operating her 2002 Saturn northbound when a deer crossed the road in front of her vehicle and was struck. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.

Nov. 5

An accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Cyrus R. Wilson, 34, of Woolwich, and Scott A. Sutter, 67, of Waldoboro. Wilson was attempting a left turn from Route 27 onto Route 1 in his 2002 Chevrolet 1500 when he failed to see Sutter, who was operating his 2001 GMC 2500 southbound and pulled out in front of Sutter’s vehicle. As a result, Wilson struck Sutter’s vehicle on the driver’s side. Deputy First Class Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.

Nov. 6

An accident occurred on East Neck Road in Nobleboro involving Scott W. Rice, 51, of Waldoboro. Rice, who was operating a 2007 GMC flatbed tow truck, was towing an unregistered/uninspected vehicle with the truck’s wheel lift. The towed vehicle was strapped with the back wheels secured to the wheel lift. The towed vehicle’s front wheels turned  because the vehicle’s steering wheel was not in a locked position. As a result, the towed vehicle struck a CMP pole support, causing the top of the CMP pole to break off and the wires to come down. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless or until found guilty at criminal proceedings.
