Oceanside Middle School to hold Veterans' Day assembly Nov. 10

THOMASTON — Oceanside Middle School, 47 Valley St., will hold its traditional Veterans' Day assembly Thursday, Nov. 10, at noon in the school's library. All veterans are invited to attend.

Pen Bay Christian School plans auction for Nov. 18

ROCKLAND — Pen Bay Christian School, holds its annual fall auction fundraiser at Littlefield Memorial Baptist Church, 1 Waldo Ave., Friday, Nov. 18, beginning at 5 p.m. with concessions and an auction preview. The live auction starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes gift certificates to many Midcoast businesses and restaurants, River Rock Festival passes, theme park passes, kids' items, two barrels of bait, Mary & Martha products and more.

Oceanside students accepted to STEM, Liberal Arts academies

ROCKLAND — The following Oceanside High School students were accepted to the STEM and Liberal Arts academies, respectively:

STEM — Martin King III, Ainsley Meklin, Sydney Hall, Shannon Ripley, Emilee Clough, Gabrielle Simmons, Rivers Boland, and Raechel Joyce;

Liberal Arts — Mackenzie Murray, Matthew Thomas Young, Philomena Marsh, Beatrice Weinand, Rivers Boland, Luca Siletti, Kalen Darney, Aidan Andrews, and Caitlin Cronin.

A STEM and/or Liberal Arts Academy endorsement will be included on the diploma designating successful completion of the requirements.
