Planning for Your Healthcare Future with Lauren Armstrong of Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care & Hospice Making sense of all the forms and acronyms associated with critical health-care planning can be daunting. This class will cover advance care directives, living wills, medical power of attorney, the “agent,” POLST, and DNRs to assist in completing a personal directive that best suits each unique situation. A health care directive provides a decision-making structure for families and/or medical personnel if one is involved in a critical situation and cannot speak for onerself. This class is appropriate for anyone age 18 or older. Class meets Monday, Nov. 14, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Free. Registration is required.

Maine Driving Dynamics Course with the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety Maine Driving Dynamics is a Maine-sponsored five-hour defensive driving course that offers all drivers the opportunity to improve their defensive driving abilities. Course includes discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine’s highways. Those completing the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record and students 55 and older can receive an insurance discount from their insurer.
