The city's annual Parade of Lights, which kicks off the local holiday season, is set to take place Saturday, Nov. 26, sponsored, as usual by Rockland Main Street. Applications for floats are due by Nov. 16; contact Rockland Main Street at 593-6093 to receive an application.

To eliminate the separation of floats on the turn onto Rankin Street to Park and back onto Main, this year the parade will use the Ferry Terminal staging area as the turn-around. The parade will begin as in past years at the public landing/Harbor Park. From there it will turn onto Main Street at Time Out Pub, progress down Main Street, turn in a loop at the Ferry Terminal, then proceed back down Main Street in the opposite direction.
