Paintings and prints by Rockport artist Maureen Egan are on view through the end of the month at Zoot Coffee, 31 Elm St./Route 1. The public is invited to an opening reception Saturday, Nov. 12, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

In addition to paintings and prints, Zoot will offer notecards of the artist’s work for sale. Zoot is open every day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Egan will be a presenter at the next PechaKucha Night Midcoast Friday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. two doors down the street at the Camden Opera House. She will share how her process of making art helped her through breast cancer in 2012. Egan’s forthcoming book of stories and paintings about this passage is titled “The Light From Here.”
