The Rockland Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at the Sail Power and Steam Museum, 75 Mechanic St., Saturday, Nov. 5, at 4:30 p.m.

Following a brief business meeting, Fordham University history professor Paul Cimbala and Fordham University psychology professor Elizabeth Vozzola will present a program on “Abraham Lincoln’s Moral Self.” Cimbala and Vozzola have studied Lincoln’s speeches and autobiographical writings to look for his ethical turning points and political goals. They will explore the importance of fostering a sense of morality like Lincoln’s in our role models and leaders.

Cimbala and Vozzola visit the LimeRock Inn and the Rockland Historical Society every summer to research their special interests in Rockland’s Civil War generals Davis Tillson and Adelbert Ames.

The public is invited, and refreshments will be served.
