Art Space Gallery, 342 Main St., invites everyone to November’s Arts In Rockland First Friday Art Walk; stop by the downtown gallery Nov. 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. for wine, refreshments and to meet the artists. Unlike Art Space’s usual first Friday events, this month features all of the gallery artisans in the front room, with a focus on gift giving.

Looking even farther ahead, the downtown artist-run, cooperative gallery, is seeking new members for the 2017 season. Quality artists of all media including potters, sculptors, printmakers, painters, etc., may apply.

Application deadline is Jan. 15. The jury date is Jan. 22. Art Space Gallery is located on Main Street, just steps from the Farnsworth Art Museum and across the street from the Strand Theatre.

Gallery members are Maine artists who actively participate in running the gallery. Membership is juried by current artist members. Opened in 2005, the gallery participates in the AIR (Arts In Rockland) monthly First Friday Art Walks and has been a successful venue for bringing original art to the attention of the discerning collector.
