According to an Oct. 25 news release from the Maine Department of Corrections, inmate Clyde Cooper, date of birth May 18, 1970, had left his assigned site in Bangor unauthorized, thus is considered escaped. Cooper has been in DOC custody since March 2016. He is currently serving a 4 year sentence, all but 1 year suspended with three years' probation for unlawful trafficking scheduled drugs, Class B. Cooper was an inmate of the Charleston Correctional Facility.
