Herbalist Suzanne Stone will lead a hands-on workshop focusing on using herbs for winter wellness on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Just in time for cold and flu season, Stone’s class will teach about the benefits of herbal allies to support the immune system. Guests will create pine tea and vinegar, elderberry syrup, and horehound and marshmallow leaf lozenges.

This hands-on class will require each guest to bring a couple of small glass jars for their creations. A small handful will be available for guests. The cost of this class is $20, with a discounted rate of $15 for members of Merryspring.

Stone is an herbalist, gardener, and educator. She has studied herbs for 18 years, recently graduating from the Elderberry School of Botanical Medicine in Portland, Ore.

This class is part of the Weekend Workshop series at Merryspring, sponsored by Camden Real Estate. Limited space is available, so pre-registration is required. To sign up, please contact Merryspring at 236-2239 or info@merryspring.org.
