For 50 years, the Camden Hills Ski Swap has been helping skiers and skaters sell off used equipment and upgrade with new and used winter gear.

This year’s Ski Swap is the weekend of Nov. 19 and 20. Location: The Camden Hills High School, Route 90 in Rockport.

This a great time to sell off old winter sports equipment, while at the same time getting some great deals on used downhill skis and boots, XC boots and skis, poles, snowboards, skates, helmets, car carriers, and winter clothing. Local ski shops will also be on hand with last years new and close-out equipment available at deep pre-season discounts.

Families with growing kids need to replace skis, boots, skates and clothing every year, and what better way than at the Ski Swap. Alpine and Nordic racers can check out new and used helmets, downhill poles, slalom and GS racing skis, while hockey and figure skaters can up-grade their gear.

The sale begins Saturday, Nov. 19, at 9 a.m. and ending at 1:30 p.m. There will be experienced skiers on-hand to help fit boots and skis, answer questions and get customers through the check out line.

Drop off used gear on Friday, Nov. 18, between 3 and 8 p.m. at the Camden Hills High School.

Ski Team members and coaches will help you price your equipment and get it logged in. Or pre-register your gear online at Set the price for your used equipment and the ski team keeps 25 percent to help fund their racing season. You get 75 percentof the proceeds.

The Sunday sale, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., features even lower prices on equipment that did not sell on Saturday. If you dropped off gear, you can pick up a check between noon and 1 p.m., and take home any items that didn’t sell.

Volunteers are needed to help out on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If interested, email

The annual Camden Hills Ski Swap is one of the largest sales of winter sports gear in the state, so don’t miss it. For more information, go to or call Richard at 542-7571.
