Rebecca Lash, English language arts instructor, is the 2016 recipient of Medomak Valley High School’s Horace Mann Crystal Apple Award.

Having started in education in 1972, Lash is the epitome of a lifelong learner, having earned three master’s degrees and a certificate in forensic criminology. In addition to teaching, she has served as a foster parent to 28 young people over the years; thus, tirelessly dedicating herself to helping teens become successful students, responsible citizens and lifelong learners in and out of the educational system.
