Midcoast native Jen Blood will introduce her new K-9 search and rescue mystery series Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to noon at Loyal Biscuit, 408 Main St.

In the first book of Blood’s new series, K-9 handler Jamie Flint travels to Glastenbury, Vt., with her veteran K-9 German shepherd Phantom to find two missing sisters whose disappearance may be related to the murders of the girls' aunts a decade before. The novel, “The Darkest Thread,” will be released Tuesday, Oct. 25.

Blood’s Erin Solomon series was set in Midcoast Maine, with Erin and her dog Einstein frequently stopping by the Loyal Biscuit in the books, a trend that continues in the Jamie Flint series. For more information about Blood and her books, visit jenblood.com.
