The 2016-2017 Metropolitan Opera’s Live-in-HD season of broadcasts from Lincoln Center to the Strand Theatre, 345 Main St., continues Saturday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. with Mozart’s “Don Giovanni.” An encore broadcast has been scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m.

Three charismatic singers — Simon Keenlyside, Ildar Abdrazakov and Mariusz Kwiecien — share the role of the title hero, who goes to hell in a dazzling coup de théâtre. The ensemble of great Mozartean singers includes Angela Meade, Marina Rebeka, Isabel Leonard, Matthew Polenzani, Erwin Schrott, and Paul Appleby. Fabio Luisi and Plácido Domingo conduct.

“Don Giovanni” is sung in Italian, with Met titles in English. Estimated running time is three hours and 22 minutes. Tickets are $27, $15 for students younger than 19 and college students with ID, available at or 594-0070. Encore show tickets, available day-of-show, are $23/$5. Season ticket packages are available.
