The weekly Monday night blues series continues Oct. 24 with the Regina Bonelli Band at the downtown Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Admission is $10 at the door for the 7 to 10 p.m. show.

Inspired by early blues and R&B legends of the 1960s and ‘70s, Regina Bonelli began singing and playing piano at the tender age of 5. Ten years later, after picking up a guitar, she was out on the New York City scene, performing her original songs at all the clubs. Life and love gave Bonelli more than enough inspiration to sing the blues, as she raised two children on her own.

But now it’s time to “Open Up the Door” to her authentic, gritty blues and soul sound. Bonelli released her so-named debut album last year, to great reviews and response; last month, the CD was still in the Top 40 Amazon Bestsellers and the Top 20 iTunes Blues Music (U.S.). She wrote both music and lyrics for all the songs, which showcase her scorching vocals, songwriting and keyboard playing. Her band features topnotch bluesmen from New York and Chicago.

Rounding out this month in the weekly series is the always popular Halloween party with Harper on, yes, Halloween, Oct. 31 ($15). For more information, visit and click on the Time Out Blues link; call 596-6055 or email
