Rock musical “The Rocky Horror Show” will be presented by the Barn Arts Collective Thursday through Saturday nights, Nov. 17 through 19, at the Strand Theatre, 345 Main St. Tickets are on sale now for the acclaimed production, which will be performed by a full cast with a live band.

“The Rocky Horror Show” premiered in London in 1973 and inspired the cult classic film, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” which still has midnight screenings across the country featuring live performers and audience members who come with their own costumes, props, and script, calling back to the characters on the screen.

The Barn Arts production, which debuted last year in Bar Harbor, combines the interactive elements of the midnight screenings with the drama and spectacle of a live rock show. The audience is encouraged to participate, and the production includes a pre-show event to orient any first-time “Rocky Horror” attendees. The production is rated R.

Show times will be 7 p.m. Thursday; 8 p.m. Friday; and 7 and 10 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $22 in advance, $25 at the door, general admission. For tickets and information, visit or call 594-0070.
