Quarry Hill invites adults age 50-plus to experience an extraordinary journey on the wild side through a special multi-media presentation. Professional nature photographer team Lee Ann Szelog and Thomas Mark Szelog will present their program “Wild by Nature” Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill, 30 Community Drive.

Attendees will witness Maine’s imposing wildlife and natural landscape through thought-provoking narratives and remarkable photographs as the Szelogs guide them into Maine’s great northern forest, its bold coast … and a typical backyard. Sharing a rare visual journal, a personal almanac they describe as a keepsake unique to Maine, the Szelogs reveal the splendor of the natural world.

Authors and photographers of the books “By a Maine River — A Year of Looking Closely” and the award-winning “Our Point of View —Fourteen Years at a Maine Lighthouse,” Tom and Lee Ann Szelog are passionate advocates for wildlife conservation, dedicated to sharing their words and photographs in narrated photography presentations and books to educate and inspire people about the important role the natural world plays in our lives.
