Master quilter and fabric artist Janet Elwin will pay a visit to the Sanctuary Gallery Sunday, Oct. 16. Elwin was unable to attend the opening of her quilt show last month, but welcomes friends and former students to visit her between 11:15 a.m. and noon.

Elwin is one of the founders of the New England Quilters Guild and worked on creation of the quilt museum now located in Lowell, Mass. Her work is on view through Oct. 26 at the Sanctuary Gallery, located on the upper level of Rockland Congregational Church, 180 Limerock St.
