Jerry Wiles will bring John and Abigail Adams to life with an hour-long program at the Maine Lighthouse Museum, 1 Park Drive, Saturday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. The presentation is sponsored by the Lady Knox Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

After retiring from teaching history at Greely Middle School for 33 years, Wiles created the Profiles in American History program, a series of lectures on some of America’s most famous figures. The series spans the time from the birth of the nation to modern day, covering American icons from John Adams to John F. Kennedy, from Clara Barton to Eleanor Roosevelt. Wiles’ lectures delve into the personal characteristics of his subjects, examine how their personalities helped shaped the times in which they lived, and often raise unsettling questions about America's leaders.
