Friends will hold a benefit supper and auction for Jackie Kinney at the Warren Oddfellow Hall at the corner of routes 1 and 90 starting at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.

Kinney has two grown daughters, a son-inlaw and two granddaughters. She has suffered from multiple health problems over the last two years, including liver surgery, a staph infection that put her in the hospital and Stage 4 breast cancer, all in 2014. This year, she was hospitalized with a pulmonary embolism and later learned her cancer had spread to her liver.

Kinney is undergoing weekly chemotherapy in Brunswick, which has made her unable to work. Her doctors have not told her whether she will be able to return to work. Proceeds of the benefit will help her pay bills.

The dinner will consist of lasagna, meatballs, macaroni and cheese, breads, salads, pies and more. The cost for the meal is $8 for adults, $4 for children under 12, with children up to 1 year old free.

The evening will feature a silent auction, raffles, including a 50/50, and a live auction, which will start at 6:45 p.m.
