New England's king of comedy returns for his annual Columbus Day weekend show Sunday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. at Camden Opera House, Elm Street/Route 1.

A University of Maine at Farmington graduate, Marley began performing standup comedy in his hometown of Portland before moving to Boston early in his career. There, he gained experience in a city known for spawning comedy all-stars; he made his first television appearance on Comedy Central. Marley is one of the few comics to do the complete late-night TV circuit. He also has appeared on 100 television shows including his 2007 half-hour special “Comedy Central Presents.”

General admission tickets are $25, available at camdenoperahouse.com; by calling 536-5850; between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays at the Camden Town Office; or an hour before show time at the opera house.
