The Rockland Shakespeare Society will begin its 2016-2017 season Monday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. in the Friends Community Room of Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St.

New members to 127-year-old group are always welcome and given an opportunity to participate at whatever level of involvement is comfortable. Anyone who has ever wanted to “get more into Shakespeare” will find the group fits the bill.

Rockland Shakespeare Society is reading and discussing “King John” this fall and will take up “Measure for Measure” beginning in January. The RSS meets every other Monday  in October, November; and January through early April (some dates change due to holiday library closures).

For more information, contact Wayne Hobson, president, at wkhobson@gmail.com; call 593-6431; or just come to the first meeting.
