Necessary Music Productions will host its inaugural Fall Frolic Friday night, Sept. 30, at Simonton Corner Community Hall, 366 Main St. at the intersection with Park. The evening will showcase four bands.

Doors will open 6:30 p.m. and the music will run from 7 to 11:45 p.m., with each band playing one set. The Fall Frolic all-ages concert will feature Knox County boogie kings The Midnight Riders; Waldo County's working class blues-rockers The Tune Squad, out of Lincolnville and Brooks; vibrant young Kennebec County power-pop and punk Random Ideas South China; and new Camden-based jam rockers The Perqs.

Tickets will be $5 to $10 sliding scale at the door, with all money going to the bands after venue and promo costs are accounted for.
