The Midcoast Parkinson’s Support Group will discuss ideas for simple, nutritious meals when the group gathers for its next meeting, set for Tuesday, Oct. 4, from noon to 1:45p.m. at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill.

During the first half of the get-together, MaineHealth Care at Home (formerly Kno-Wal-Lin) occupational therapist Kristina DeSciullo, MS, OTR/L, and Quarry Hill clinical dietician Ann Parent, MS. RDLD, will discuss and demonstrate how to make meal preparation safer and easier and suggest recipes designed to fill the bill, even when time—or energy—is short.

Afterward, attendees will divide into smaller discussion groups to allow those with Parkinson’s, their caregivers and loved ones to share insights and perspectives. For more information, call Cassie Walters, 596-3978.
