Guest artist Beth McKinney will lead a Paint Night titled Zen and the Art of the Dot Friday, Sept. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Art Loft, located at 385 Main St., Suite 9 (inside the lobby of the Thorndike Building).

In this special edition Paint Night, participants will explore the simplicity of the painting style sometimes called Organic Abstract — a style so conducive to calm absorption that painters may enter a restorative “zen state.” The session promises to be good for the mind, good for the spirit and a good time of painting and socializing.

No prior painting experience is necessary; participants will be surprised at what they are capable of creating in just two hours. Cost for Paint Night is $35, which includes all materials and snacks.
