Each year, photographers around the world gather on the same day to explore, photograph, share photos with one another, make new friends and be a part of the Worldwide Photowalk supports the Springs Of Hope Kenya Orphanage.

This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1. To participate, visit worldwidephotowalk.com; enter the city zip code, 04841, into the “Find a Walk” field and sign up. Participants are asked to donate and/or buy a T-shirt to benefit Springs Of Hope Kenya Orphanage, an organization that feeds, houses, educates and empowers young orphans so that they can grow up to not just survive, but also succeed.

The Rockland walk will be led by local photographer Tom Kostes, who can be contacted at 837-9931 or tomkostesphotography@gmail.com.

“It’s great fun for all participants and it’s for a really great cause,” Kostes said.
