The weather was beautiful and the community was hungry for this year’s West Bay Rotary Chowder Challenge, held during Camden's Windjammer Festival.

Diners had the opportunity to taste and vote on chowders from community’s most chefs; including Camden Hills Regional High School Wave Cafeteria, Graffam Brothers, Marriners, Pen Bay Medical Center Café, Samoset and Waterfront.

Congratulations and thanks to the winners, selected by the diners: Graffam Brothers came in first, Pen Bay Medical Center Cafe took second place and Samoset placed third.

An event of this size takes the time and commitment of many dedicated volunteers. When all was said and done, the volunteers of West Bay Rotary contributed over 100 hours to raise more than $4,000 on behalf of worthy non-profit organizations. Special thanks to the club's partners in philanthropy, Camden Rotary Club and the Midcoast Interact Club.
