Friends of the Rockland Public Library wil present a Two Old Cops and an Angel evening featuring retired Maine Game Warden John Ford, retired Maine State Trooper Mark Nickerson and current Game Warden Chaplain Kate Braestrup, all three also authors, Friday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. in the Oceanside High School auditorium, 400 Broadway.

The trio will tell stories from their books, talk about their experiences and answer questions from the audience. The event is a fundraiser for the library, which will receive all proceeds. The evening includes a reception at which guests can meet the authors, purchase their books, have items signed, and enjoy food and beverages. During the reception, the winner of a raffle will be chosen to go home with three autographed books — the latest book from each author.

Tickets are on sale in advance at the library until 5 p.m. Sept. 23 at $20 (cash, check or charge). At the door, the cost is $25 a ticket (cash or check only). Raffle tickets will be available at the event for $5 a ticket or $20 for five tickets (cash or check only).
