The Camden Lions Club and Mid Coast Leo's Club recently donated backpacks filled with school supplies to the Knox County Homeless Coalition for children who are in need for back to school supplies.

The Camden Lions Club is made up of dedicated men and women who quietly serve the greater Camden/Rockport /Lincolnville area.The Club is part of Lions Clubs International – the world’s largest and most active service club organization, with 1.35 million members in more than 46,000 clubs worldwide.

The Mid Coast Leo's Club is a community service group for students ages 12-18 years of age who are dedicated to serving their community through charitable works. They are sponsored by the Camden Lions Club.

On Saturday, Sept. 10, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., there will be a spaghetti supper at the Camden Lions Club. All proceeds from the supper will be donated to support buying school supplies for the area school children. The suggested donation is $8 for adults and $5 for children. There will also be a silent auction with items donated from the community.
