Thomaston Historical Society hosts a tour of Lyman-Morse’s boatbuilding facility in Thomaston Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. as part of its expanding focus on 20th-century boat builders in the town. After the tour, there will be refreshments at the Historical Society’s museum on Knox Street, just across the train tracks from Lyman-Morse, and an opportunity to see other boatbuilding exhibits.

Each guided tour will take one to one and a half hours. The cost is $12 per person ($10 for Historical Society members). Space is limited; contact the Thomaston Historical Society by email at or by phone at 354-4121 to reserve a space.
