Tidemark Gallery, 902 Main St./Route 220, will present a collection of the late Julian Sacks’ vibrant watercolors depicting the “Four Seasons in Maine” Wednesday, Sept. 7, through Oct. 1. The opening reception is set for Saturday, Sept. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. during the monthly village Waldoboro ArtWalk.

It was a wonderful day when Sacks joined the gallery, said owner Charlotte Davenhill. Wherever he went, what ever the season or time of day, he painted.

“It was a terrible day when we lost him. But he left us with such wonderful gifts; his wisdom and warm friendship, corny jokes, a special recipe for pickled herring and bright landscape paintings of the many places he loved,” she said.

Tidemark is joined on this month’s second-Saturday ArtWalk by the Heywood Gallery, 921 Main St.; Philippe Guillerm Gallery, 882 Main St.; and newest neighbor Tony Gallace's Medomak River Gallery, 211 Friendship St.
