The Waldoboro Public Library wrapped up its Bikes for Books reading incentive program Aug. 16. Winning bikes and helmets were Eliot Prock, Nathan Percival, Karson Melanson, Zofia Saucier, Eliza Prock and Natalie Parent. All winners are pictured, except for Melanson.

During the program, readers received a raffle ticket for every five picture books or two chapter books read. The more books read, the better the chances of winning. Not only did these kids receive new bikes, but they read lots of good books this summer.

King Solomon's Lodge of Masons of Waldoboro sponsored the program. Bikes and helmets were donated by Sherel and Judith Collamore, Colby Black, The Jojoba Co., Waldoboro Sno-Crawlers Club, and Downeast School of Massage.
