Natalie Masse, coordinator for Paint the Town, Waldoboro, recently presented checks to the 2016 participating nonprofit organizations including Medomak Valley Land Trust, the Lions Club, Waldoboro Public Library and the Waldoboro Volunteer Fireman's Association.

"The participating organizations provide tremendous volunteer support that Paint the Town requires to run smoothly, from providing navigation to remote painting locales, table and chair set-up, preparing and serving food and drinks, to presenting the fresh paint at auction," said Jan Visser, host of Paint the Town 2016. "We thank our volunteers for the outstanding job they did to make Paint the Town 2016 a successful and rewarding event."

Paint the Town is a one-day plein air event and live auction that features the art of local and regional plein air painters in a variety of media. On hundred percent of the proceeds are shared by local nonprofits.

The 2017 Paint the Town is set for Saturday, Aug. 5, at 995 Main St. For more information about Paint the Town, Waldoboro, visit its Facebook page.
