The monthly Community Swing Dance series returns Saturday, Sept. 10 at High Mountain Hall, 5 Mountain St./Route 52. Admission is $9.

The Swing & Soul dance runs from 7:30 to 10 p.m. DJ Katie Tranzillo and others will play crossover music to inspire East and West Coast swing, Lindy, blues and do-your-own-thing. Night club two-step works well for many soul party tunes. There will be healthy refreshments and door prizes; note that non-street shoes only are permitted on the dance floor.

The dance follows two hour-long swing class. For more information, visit; email; or look for JoyfulDancing on Facebook. The evening is sponsored by Maine Dance Circuit, a nonprofit promoting dance and scholarships for youth in Maine.
