Thomaston Historical Society, 80 Knox St., will host a gathering to share the story of Roger Morse and the three generations of the Morse Family Boat Builders of Thomaston Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. The Morse family built boats during the 20th century, continuing Thomaston's legacy of boat building that began in the early 19th century.

Roger Morse recently died and this program will be a memorial to him. Anyone who wishes to tell stories about Roger or the boats he and his family built is invited to attend and share their memories.

Refreshments will be served at 7 p.m., before the program, which begins at 7:30. This event is free, but donations are always welcome.
