The Camden Public Library’s August Book Sale will be held in the Picker Room on Saturday, Aug. 27, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday, Aug. 28, 1 to 4 p.m.

This is the time to stock up for fall and winter reading. Choose from a wide variety of hardcover and softcover trade paperbacks, priced at $2 each, in such categories as art, biography, cooking, fiction, foreign language, gardening, government/current affairs, health/well-being, history, how-to, Maine, marine, nature, the performing arts, pets, quilting, religion, science, sports, and travel.

There will also be a large selection of children’s books priced at 50 cents each for softcover books and $1 for hardcover books. Young adult books will be $2 each. Hundreds of paperbacks covering a variety of topics, as well as fiction by leading novelists, will also be sold at 50 cents each. Also on sale will be DVDs and CDs at $2 each and VHS tapes at 50 cent each. Movies, cartoons for children, films on topics for all ages, and a wide variety of musical CDs and books on tapes will be available.
