The following students each received one of 20 Maine Red Sox Service Scholarships presented to graduating seniors from Maine public high schools this year.

— Aidan Acosta, 2016 graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School

— James Vandett, 2016 graduate of Medomak Valley High School

— Lucie Bonneville, 2016 graduate of Belfast Area High School

As a sponsor of the program, the Ford Motor Company Fund’s, Gerry Miles was on the field to help present the students with their awards at Fenway Park prior to last Sunday’s Red Sox game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

This is the scholarship program’s third year in Maine. It was first launched in New Hampshire in 2010 and now runs in all five New England states outside of Massachusetts. The $1,000 Red Sox Service Scholarships are awarded to students based on academic performance, financial aid eligibility, and demonstrated community service.

This fall, Acosta will attend Middlebury College, Vandett will attend University of Maine Orono and Bonneville will attend the University of Maine.
